Cheralex (cheralex.site) is a personal blog about travel, concerts, and life in Chicago. This page explains what data the site and its tools handle.

Website analytics

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall traffic. It does not use cookies to track individual visitors and does not collect names, email addresses, or other personal identifiers from readers.

If you subscribe to new-post notifications, your email address is stored by Buttondown, the newsletter provider, and used only to send you those emails. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email. Buttondown's own privacy policy applies to that data: buttondown.com/privacy.

Use of the YouTube API

The site owner's private tool, Cheralex Personal Uploader, uses the YouTube Data API v3 for the following purposes:

Uploading the owner's own videos (concert and travel footage) to the owner's own YouTube channel, “Aleksandr Cherepanov”;
Reading metadata of the owner's own videos — titles, descriptions, and durations — to display them correctly on this site.

The tool does not access, collect, store, or share data of any other YouTube users. It does not sell data to anyone. Videos from YouTube are shown on this site only through official YouTube embeds and players.

Use of information received from Google APIs by this tool adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google's own handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Use of YouTube itself is governed by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Data deletion

To request deletion of any personal data related to you (for example, a newsletter subscription address), write to alex@cheralex.site. Requests are handled within 30 days.

Аналитика сайта

Сайт использует Cloudflare Web Analytics для общей статистики посещаемости. Индивидуальное отслеживание посетителей через cookies не ведётся, имена, адреса почты и другие персональные данные читателей не собираются.

Рассылка

Если вы подписались на уведомления о новых записях, ваш адрес хранится у провайдера рассылки Buttondown и используется только для отправки писем. Отписаться можно в любой момент по ссылке в письме. К этим данным применяется политика Buttondown: buttondown.com/privacy.

Использование YouTube API

Личный инструмент владельца сайта, Cheralex Personal Uploader, использует YouTube Data API v3 в следующих целях:

загрузка собственных видео владельца (концерты, поездки) на его собственный YouTube-канал «Aleksandr Cherepanov»;
чтение метаданных собственных видео — названий, описаний и длительности — для корректного отображения на сайте.

Инструмент не получает, не хранит и не передаёт данные других пользователей YouTube. Данные никому не продаются. Видео YouTube показываются на сайте только через официальные вставки и плееры YouTube.

Обработка данных, полученных от API Google, соответствует политике пользовательских данных API Google, включая требования ограниченного использования (Limited Use).

Как Google обрабатывает ваши данные — в политике конфиденциальности Google. Использование самого YouTube регулируется условиями использования YouTube.

Удаление данных

Чтобы запросить удаление ваших персональных данных (например, адреса из рассылки), напишите на alex@cheralex.site. Запросы обрабатываются в течение 30 дней.
